Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have undeniably good chemistry—from their romantic dates to their constant PDA and their silly Instagram photos, this star couple’s relationship seems to be as hot as the pop sensations themselves. She even reportedly jetted in from Florida, where she’s filming Spring Breakers, to celebrate the Biebs’ 18th birthday with him on Friday. However, despite their ongoing love story, Gomez was recently pegged as having a great connection with another person, make that two people. But, not to worry, there is no trouble in Jelena paradise!
Instead, Gomez, 19, is rumored to have a great relationship going with Vanessa Hudgens, 23, and Ashley Benson, 22, the pretty threesome who are all starring in the upcoming Spring Breakers movie. Executive producer Wilks Walker recently revealed, “A lot of interesting things are going to happen… We are thrilled with the cast. There should be a natural chemistry with the girls… it’s great that Selena, Vanessa and Ashley are all friends. This film is just magic.” Indeed, on-screen and off-screen chemistry between a film’s stars can determine how successful the movie is—just look at The Twilight Saga with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson!
The three young ladies definitely seem to genuinely like each other, with no trace of diva behavior, which is sometimes rare among young starlets. However, they do have plenty in common with their careers: Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens are both singer-actresses and Ashley Benson has been making waves, starring in the hit TV series, Pretty Little Liars.
Gomez may be without boyfriend Justin Bieber, but she’s still going on plenty of dates with her girls Hudgens and Benson—from caffeine fixes at Starbucks to riding mopeds around Florida. It’s definitely not all work and no play for this trio!
Walker also told Hollywood Life that the Spring Breakers flick is “complex, edgy, but fun,” which certainly seems to fit the personalities of its three young stars, especially Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens who have transformed from their respectiveWizards of Waverly Place and High School MusicalDisney days to take on more mature and provocative roles. Talk about growing up in style!
