Carly Rae Jepsen closed out the Teen Choice Awards by singing her hit song ‘Call Me Maybe.’ Stars loved dancing to the summer hit, and she got a standing ovation at the end!
“Call Me Maybe” won the Choice Song of the Summer award, and 26-year-old Carly Rae Jepsen definitely delivered to her fans during the Teen Choice Awards. Carly Rae featured some of her favorite fan lip syncing videos, and even lip syncing clips of celebs from the red carpet!
For weeks leading up to the awards, fans entered their own lip syncing videos to “Call Me Maybe,” and the lucky chosen ones were played during the song. She also showed celebs who did their own lip synced renditions on the red carpet — videos of Demi Lovato, DJ Pauly D, and Kylie and Kendall Jenner were played on the big screen during the performance!
The audience danced throughout the entire summer hit, including Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey, Rico Rodriguez from Modern Family, and Ellen DeGeneres‘ pals Sophia Grace and Rosie! They all stayed on their feet for a standing ovation.
At the end, a happy birthday message to Selena Gomez flashed on the giant screen! How sweet!
This was Carly Rae’s first performance for the Teen Choice Awards, and we think she did a fantastic job!
