Selena, 19, looks adorable on the cover of the issue, which is the magazine’s fall fashion issue. The issue hits newsstands in September.

Selena Gomez  ‘Spring Breakers’ co-star James Franco reveals why she was perfect for the racy flick, which can pave the way for her to take on more mature movie roles! But does this mean she’s abandoning her Disney fans?

It’s not always easy for Disney stars to take on more mature jobs as they get older, but James Franco thinks nineteen-year-old Selena Gomez‘s scandalous role in the indie movie Spring Breakers could help her do just that!

James — who plays a drug dealer who bails Selena, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson‘s characters out of jail in the film — says Selena was “hungry” for the wild role of Faith.

“I thought [director Harmony Korine] was so smart to cast her, Vanessa and Ashley because it seemed like they were so hungry for some deeper kind of material, hungry for indie material,” James, 34, told Eonline.com on May 12. “They really gave their all when they were acting. You’ve got great performances.”

Wizards of Waverly Place, the Disney show that made Selena a star, aired its series finale back in January. Soon after, Selena flew to St. Petersburg, Fla., where she and ladies got crazy on the set of the movie, which comes out in 2013.

We told you Selena admitted she was “super stressed out” during filming, but her costars said it’s obvious she really loves what she does.

From Selena Gomez to Katy Perry, the stars at the Kids’ Choice Awards were all about showing some skin in the hot new trend. While not everyone wants to flaunt their midriff in a crop top, it totally can be done! For starters, you don’t need to rock such a small top — with crop tops in a slew of shapes and sizes you can easily find one in your comfort zone. I love the way pairing a crop top with a high-waisted skirt looks — you can still show some skin without feeling self-conscious if you don’t have a six pack. This look also enhances the waist. Selena Gomez Kisses and Tells (and Shows Off Fall’s Prettiest Beauty Trends!)

“Selena Gomez is having a very good year. Wizards of Waverly Place, the show she’s starred in since age 13, is in its final season, so at 19, she’s -officially graduating from the -Disney Channel and joining the grown-up Hollywood universe. First project? The girlfriend-getaway summer rom-com Monte Carlo, in which she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester. Then there’s her -single “Who Says,” which zoomed to platinum status off her latest album, When the Sun Goes Down (Britney Spears even co-wrote one song).”

GLAMOUR: Congrats on your single “Who Says” going platinum. Did you record it with someone in mind?

SELENA GOMEZ: It’s an anthem that everybody can relate to, but it’s really for my fans who are going through cyberbullying and people trying to bring them down and tell them they’re not good enough. It’s even an anthem for myself; it makes me feel really good.

GLAMOUR: The lyrics are “Who says you’re not star potential?” Did anyone ever say that to you?

SG: Of course—I had someone tell me that today! And when I was 11 years old, I had a grown woman who was a casting director tell me that I was not strong enough to carry the lead in any project. Now I’m doing things that I love, and I’m working really hard. I never want to play the victim or anything, but of course everybody deals with it.
